Felipe Contreras

Felipe Contreras is an award-winning filmmaker, producer, and storyteller of Puerto Rican and Salvadoran descent, born and raised in Los Angeles. He specializes in film, multimedia, and new media, focusing on amplifying Indigenous and BIPOC voices to promote ecological and cultural resilience.

Felipe has participated in global initiatives such as Doc Society’s Climate Storylab in the Amazon and created cINeDIGENOUS, a platform for Indigenous filmmakers. His award-winning podcast work includes "Seedcast," and he has collaborated with prominent figures like Harrison Ford and James Cameron.

In addition to his filmmaking, Felipe founded Project Men Unmasked, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting men's wellness and addressing issues such as isolation, substance abuse, and suicide. His commitment to cultural bridging and environmental advocacy has earned him fellowships at the Jackson Wild Media Lab and The Flaherty Seminar.
